hey there i'm going to buy antec vp 450 p for my 560 ti
but the problem is, it only have one pci'e connector where as my 560ti require 2 of those

so can i use a molar to pcie connector for my gpu, is it safe??will it affect the life of psu??

or should i buy corsair vs450 which has 2x 6+2 pcie connector,
but i've heard it is weaker than the antec vp one

plz help !!!!!!!!!!............

Power supply rails tend to be identified by the color of the yellow wire. So solid yellow may be 1 rail, while yellow with a green stripe may be rail2 and so on. So try to get the 6-pin and adapter on different stripes.

Here a solid yellow is one rail and the yellow with a black stripe is the other. This unit has 1 x 6 pin connector, I will NOT be using any 2 x 6 pin cards on it(being a 300 watt does not help either).

These rails are over current protection points so spreading the load is good.

By not run properly, i mean the card may not even run(older cards that need just a little could run at a lower clock speed, but a 560ti needs a good bit of power) or may just crash.

I can not stress...
The power supply has a single connector because it is a lower wattage unit in the value category.

A 560ti can take from 170-210 depending on model(nvidia.com. These should be under heavy load). Your power supply requires at LEAST that much + your cpu(100 watts)/board(10-20?)/hard drives(5-10 each) on its 12 volt rail.

It is possible you do have that, but you have to check the label and realize you may be taking a risk(cutting it close). Some power supplies simply do not place that much current on the 12 volt rails(and this is key for most demanding parts.). If you do try this, please try to get your power off another rail(just to avoid over current on a single rail) if you have a multi rail unit. This can be seem with a stripe on the yellow wires of the molex or 6-pin cables

Molex to 6 pin is as safe as any 6 pin y cable.

The video card is not likely to run properly or even at all without the extra connector.

Thankz nukemaster and inerax

should i use antec vp 450 because it has 2 12v rail, with molex to 6pin connector
it may distributed the load bucause of multi rail

or vs450 will be okay because it has 2 pice by default (i think corsair is confident that it can handle 2 6pins in one cord, correct me if i'm wrong)

how can i get power from another rail i don't know how to do that ??

and i can't understand "video card will not properly" means

I can not stress enough how close this setup could be under load(you do not have allot of 12 volt to work with. 360 watts @ 12 volts if I trust newegg's image of that power supply.). This is the reason you are being recommended to grab another power supply instead of risking the system(I would hope Antec would not allow the power supply to kill the computer).
