Amd A10-6700 getting to 107Celsius when gaming

I am running an amd A10-6700 processor on an hp motherboard so it is not overclocked nor can it be overclocked. The cpu temps have always been pretty high, around the 80-90 degree range but it would not thermal throttle much and games were easily playable. I recently began to replay the game Mad Max which I used to easily play maxed with above 60fps stable but now I am getting 43 max and dips to 17fps, I reduced the settings to the normal preset which is the lowest but it was still unplayable with fps dips going to 18. I then checked the temperature for my cpu/ graphics card/ harddrive etc and everything was around the 40-50 degree range except my cpu which was at a whopping 108 degrees celcius which is more than enough to bring water to a boil. I have recently changed my computer case to a coolermaster haf 912 which has more fans that my previous case which was smaller and had room for one to try to remedy the problem but the temps are about the same except on idle where there was a small improvement. I have tried using speedfan to incrase the fan speed of my cpu headsink which is quite slow but it does not
recognize my cpu fan probably because of my hp motherboard.
I am not some kind of master pc builder that has multiple cpu heatsinks and thermal paste at hand so id prefer having suggestions involving the software side of things or suggestions that I can do easily. Also I have tried hooking up the cpu fan to my powersupply but the noise was unbearable since it is a 90mm fan.
Thank you in advance.

Solution
Thermal margin is a measure of how much hotter it can be and still be safe . Thermal margin of 0 would be 70 C , thermal margin of 20 is 50C .

To be 107 C it would have to be reading - 37

I would have asked if you had cleaned the cooler and fan but you must have done that on the switchover between cases. There's no software fix for this unless you want to underclock your cpu. A replacement fan but prefereably a replacement heatsink too is a likely fix. Go for a coolermaster 212 evo.

I have heard of amd overdrive in ccc but I could never find it, is it disabled for the A10 6700? Also since I switched graphics cards( to an nvidia gpu) I have deleted all the amd drivers along with ccc.

I will look into a new heatsink fan . Also I didnt clean out my heatsink or fan during the case switchover since I would have to remove the heatsink from the cpu but I dont have any thermal paste on hand to reapply on the cpu which I hear is needed every time the heatsink is removed. Also would the coolermaster hyper T2 work? since it is a bit budget friendly with the steam summer sale coming up.

Cleaning the heatsink and fan is super easy and doesn't require any removal. Turn your computer off, unplug it, wait 20 minutes then vaccum clean off what dust and fluff you can (may as well do the rest of the pc and gpu while you are at it) then wipe down the rest with a very slightly damp disposable cleaning towel. This should restore your stock cooler to at least 90% what it was. Keep one hand on the case just for static prevention.

As for the coolermaster hyper 212 evo.... It's the best selling enthusiast aftermarket aircooler ever because of it's price and competition thrashing performance; perfectfor your rig.

Rly? You can vacum your pc with one of those small dust buster type vacums? Il give it a try and see if I can get a hyper evo 212. Also I just downloaded Amd overdrive which I always thought was a gpu overclock tab in ccc and it says that on idle my cpu's thermal margin is around 52 at idle and 20 during a cpu burner stress test... so during load my cpu is 20 degrees below thermal throttling temperature? Speccy said my cpu temp was 98 degrees during that test, so either speccy is wrong or amd cpus dont throttle until 118 degrees.

OK, I just downloaded amd overdrive (I always though it was supposed to be in ccc and supposed to be for overclocking the gpu) and during idle it says my cpu is around 52.8 degrees thermal margin and around 20 when under the msi kombustor cpu burner on the 4 threads setting. Is that ok? I dont know the max operating temperature but 20 below the max temp sounds good. I also noticed there was a fan speed setting on overdrive but it was all greyed out. Speccy probably gave the wrong temps but then what is making my game suddenly lag?

Amd and nvidia drivers really don't play well together at the best of times. While you may have used windows to delete the amd drivers, any times there will still be orphans in your system, stuff that didn't get deleted. Go to guru3d and download the Driver Deleter. When it asks for safe mode, do it. When it asks to delete amd or nvidia, have it delete amd. This might clear up the temp issue since running multiple simultaneous tests on the sensors can have funky results.

I use a full on household vacuum cleaner with the hose attachment, not a puny handheld dustbuster. Obviously be careful whilst cleaning.

At this point it might be a good idea to reach out to a friend / aquaintence who is comfortable with building computers to help finesse you through the final stages of getting your PC in order.

IT IS A VERY BAD IDEA TO CLEAN THE INSIDES OF A COMPUTER WITH A VACUUM CLEANER

The huge amount of static electricity produced will kill components very fast .

And if you had actually read the thread you would know this chip is not at 107C and never was. Just junk reporting by speccy

Relax! I'm not sticking the carpet cleaner end in the case and if anyone else got that impression... yeah don't do that... ever. The hose attachments I have on my 2 vacuum cleaners are both plastic. Maybe there are other hose attachments out there that aren't plastic so this might be a fair shout, but otherwise... carry on.

I use a standard vacuum cleaner, and a soft boar bristle paintbrush. Works wonders on larger areas and stubborn dirt that won't blow off with compressed air. Of course the vac never touches anything, the hose is local just to pick up airborne dust generated by the paintbrush. Especially good for things like fan blades and cooler fins
