So I just changed my psu today because my old one was going bad and before this it worked fine but my pc would just turn off for no reason found out it was my old psu. I changed it today with a corsair 650w its the same wattage as my old one I turn it on and my cpu fan would quit spinning and my pc woudnt boot I took out my gpu gtx 970 and it worked fine put it back in didn't start so I thought it was my gpu but it's powering and everything for some reason I turned off my pc and took out the battery on the mother board and put it back in and started right up with my gpu just fine turned it off and turned it back on and doesn't work take out battery put back in turns on fine..got my mother board 2 years ago.

Solution
does the time in the system is up to date when it start and if you have a volmeter test the battery there cheap so you could get a new one .

thous mobo batterys quite good.i have some weird staff before too.my clock wont stay it runs out off adjustment to a different region.i get new battery then all went fine but after a while i cant power up my pc.then i try clear cmos and it was inproper method(removing BIOS battery for couple minutes)so i send my MOBO RMA and recieve same MOBO back, then i find out about this (shortened BIOS battery for 15 sec hold CMOS contacts for 10 minutes PC booted fine)i found this in MOBO manual.Hope this helps!
