My Mobo is not recognizing my SSD or HDD

I'm building my first rig, and I've done everything I can think of but my BIOS doesn't recognize either one of my drives. (One SSD, and one HDD) I've plugged each of them into all 4 slots, with 3 different cables and still nothing. I've updated my BIOS as well. Everything else seems to be working perfectly.

I have a EVGA Z170 Stinger.

Any ideas?

Are they not detected by Windows or not detected by BIOS?
If not detected by windows use Disk Manager to mount them and or create the necessary partition.

If they arent detected by the BIOS, try plugging them into another computer in the house via SATA and see if that machine detects them. If neither machine detects them then the drives are bad. If the others detect them, then you will need to mess around in the bios to see if you can fix it, If not then you will need to RMA the motherboard

They aren't detected by either.

Both drives work. I've messed around with all the settings in the BIOS that I can think of. You think that means I got a bad Mobo? I honestly don't know that much about this. Like I said, this is my first build.

Well since you are certain both drives work, then it leads me to believe that your motherboard is the problem.
I would try to avoid company RMA if possible. So like if you bought the motherboard off Amazon within the past 30, return it and request a replacement rather then going through the maker of the motherboard. It will be quicker and easier to go through who you bought it from as long as you bought it in the last 30 days
