My C: hard drive running windows 7 on my computer seems to have a very low transfer rate and I suspect it might be dying. Currently it has 551GB free of 1.81TB. I tried doing an Error Scan on it using HD Tune but everything came out fine/green, but when I Benchmark the drive I get this (second image is a defraggler benchmark of my drives):

The hard drive itself is a "Seagate Desktop HDD ST2000DM001 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive" that I bought from Newegg: "http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148834"

I've had it for a little over 3 years now.

Solution
Hi there cool6410,

It would be a really nice idea to back up the data stored on the drive until you sort this out.

Could you post a screenshot of the Health tab of that tool?
Apart from that, my suggestion would be to just attach the drive to another port with different cables(both SATA and power ones).
Updating your MOBO drivers will not hurt.

Let me know how this goes,
