Hi all, I am fairly new to all this and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out if i will be able to upgrade to the new GTX 1070 without any issues. I am currently running a Geforce GT 740 4GB. Here is the rest of my components.

Motherboard: ASUS Z97-AR
Processor: i5 4690K
Memory: (x1) HDD 1TB and (x1) SSD 120GB
Ram: hyperx 16gb

If anyone could help i would very much appricate it! Thanks

You'll be totally fine, your CPU is top tier for gaming performance, so there isnt any CPU available that would give you a significant performance improvement, even when using the GTX 1070.

You may have some bottlenecking from your CPU in CPU intensive games such as ArmA, DayZ, a tiny amount in Battlefield. However, ultimately it won't slow the 1070 down that much. You will have a more than playable frame rate in nearly all games at high to ultra settings.
