Computer struggles to turn on and stay on.

My computer has a long delay after I press the start button before it actually attempts to turn on. Once it starts to turn on, sometimes it struggles to even get entirely booted up. It will randomly restart when booting up until it finally does, eventually the time between restarts gets bigger until it plateus at about 30 minutes. I have already checked my antivirus software (Norton) and I have already checked the power supply which isn't failing. What else could it be?

Try different RAM or one RAM stick at a time. From what the computer does I would not trust the power supply till I tried the system with a known good spare. Try a BIOS reset maybe, unplug from wall power, remove the CMOS battery for about 10 seconds, try it again.

I tried switching out the RAM and nothing different happened and the computer won't stay on long enough to download the BIOS. It seems like it is the power supply but I just don't see how this barely two year old corsair power supply could just fail like that.

I'm guessing Corsair CX or VS correct?

That is a much better unit than the CX, so it's less likely to be the cause, except for the fact that the way you say the issue is with having to hit the button a few times sounds like a power issue. Try unplugging the computer from wall power, hold in the power button for about 30 seconds, remove the CMOS battery for 10 seconds to reset the BIOS and see if it start up better.

Also exactly how does the start up issue look like? No power at all till you try a few times? Does it get stuck in the BIOS screen, Windows loading screen? Somewhere else?

Okay sorry, but what exactly is the CMOS? Basically what it looks like is when I press the power button I hear the electronic click in the back of the computer which signifies that the button worked; however after that a few minutes pass by before the computer starts to boot up. Once it boots up the computer will stay on for a while before shutting down again. Then it will try to boot itself up but will fail at different intervals, sometimes at the BIOS screen, sometimes after Windows booted up.

CMOS battery is the small flat battery you see on the motherboard. When removed it resets the BIOS, you will need to set the time/date on it also when system starts. Really sounds like a bad power supply but maybe a motherboard also. Maybe a bad hard drive, but that is less likely.
