2 GTX 1080's in SLI - How many monitors can these handle?

I am trying to hook up 3 4k monitors and 1 4k tv to my 2 GTX 1080's in SLI. Is this possible? I am having trouble hooking up the tv. The 3 monitors work fine and the tv shows in the settings but I cannot get anything to display on it. I want to have my display be 4 screens wide. Is this even possible?

  1. 7680x4320@60Hz per and support for multiple displays. I certainly like Nvidia's old format, their page for this thing is terrible.

I'll try to find the white papers for the GPU itself.
  2. 4 monitors per card. so you can easily handle 4 total monitors on 2 cards.

for a list of models and their specs, reviews see here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3047729/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1000-series-megathread-faq-resources.html

so far the only models with 2 hdmi ports is the asus ones. the rest all have the standard 3 DP and 1 hdmi connection

Do you have the right kind of HDMI cable to connect to the TV.

I know this may sound silly but perhaps you need a HDMI 2.0 cable
  4. It did end up being the cable, I can't believe I didn't have the 2.0 cable and that's what it was. It's always something simple...
