Hello!

First of all, this is my current setup:
I have my main wireless router(NETGEAR Nighthawk X4 AC2350) which is connected to the internet service provider modem on my ground floor.

Devices connected wired to the main router:
Amazon FireTv
1 Alienware X51 PC
1 wireless router(ASUS RT-N65R) - (I added this wireless router in my room on the second floor because the signal coming from my main router was very low. Therefore, my internet was very slow especially when gaming online. Currently, my PC and PS4 are connected wired to my second wireless router. I've also disabled DHCP on my second wireless router.)

The problem I am having right now is this:
The 2.4 ghz wireless signal from my main router is having connection issues while we are using this Amazon FireTv for streaming movies. The 2.4 ghz(main router) is broadcasting but our devices like iPad and iPhones couldn't connect to it.

For example, this morning, while streaming a movie using the FireTv, my sister's iPhone and my dad's iPad couldn't connect to the 2.4ghz signal from my main wireless router. Both my PC and PS4 which are connected to my second wireless router by wire were both turned off. My iPhone on the other hand was connected to the 5ghz of the second wireless router which is working with no problem.

I already disabled the broadcasting of the 2.4 ghz from my second wireless router because I think it could interfere with my main wireless router's 2.4 ghz signal.

One of my questions is does having a second wireless router interfere with my main wireless router's signal?

You should be able to have both of the in full operation at the same time. On 2.4 Ghz set each to a fixed channel of 1, 6 or 11. They may have the same SSID and encryption key or they can be separate. 5 Ghz settings are way more complicated but the band is clearer. I just set mine to auto channel select and it works OK. Again they may have the same SSID or not. I suggest 2.4 and 5 have different SSIDs though so you can force connection to 5 Ghz if you want it.

No, I don't think your second router would be interfering, especially if you have the wireless turned off on it. It could possibly be that the default channel that your 1st router is broadcasting on (probably channel 6) needs to be changed to a less crowded channel. Download a free wireless analyzer to your iPhone to see if there are other routers in your neighborhood broadcasting on the same channel.

The other, far less possible case would be that your 1st router is not able to send and receive network access because your FireTV has sucked up all of the wireless bandwidth.
