Hello there. Few days ago i bought a new laptop (Asus ROG)
Intel Core i7 quad core 4720hq 3,6ghz
8gb ddr3
ge force gtx 960 2gb ddr5
I think that i can run a lot of games without any lagg problem, but i cant. I have problem with playing Fifa 16, or Assasin's Creed (1st part), or GTA 5. And I put it on Low/Normal games settings.
I have a PC (which is not as good as laptop) at home, and these games work perfectly on it.
Laptop works fine for everything else and I dont know why..
Can someone give me some kind of seggestions what to do. Thansks

ps: my graphic drivers are up to date

Solution
Check the windows power settings. Make sure that the power plan is High Performance. Also go into change plan settings>change advanced power settings>restore plan defaults.
Make sure the power adaper is plugged in.
Reset NVidia settings from NVidia conrol panel.
Any other performance options set for high performance.

Also make sure the vents for air flow are not blocked.

If you can, download hwmonitor or cpuz and run it while playing a game that has problems. Then post a screenshot of the perfomance graphs.

I have a Lenovo with the exact same setup and GTA V which I most play ru smooth in high, check the answer above (play using the power cable plugged) and also check you don't have heat problems, you can try using hwmonitor (open it AFTER you lunch the game), they're really common in these laptops.
