So, I have no idea what's causing this issue. Basically, my display drivers are crashing every 10-15 minutes. Less frequently (every hour to hour and a half, usually), the entire computer hangs then crashes and restarts. This started yesterday, after installing the new DLC for Fallout 4. I can't figure out why that would affect it, but that's when it started. Anyway, my specs.

Windows 7 x64
EVGA GTX 1080
Intel i7 4790K
Samsung 840 EVO SSD
MSI Z97 Gaming 7
EVGA G2 850

I've had the card since it first came out and there were absolutely no issues. Now, suddenly, all this. I haven't installed any programs, I haven't done anything. Truly, the only thing I did was start Fallout 4. It crashed, and that's when all this started.

Some fixes I've tried...
Updating the drivers for my GPU
Going into safemode, running DDU and completely uninstalling the drivers, then updating
Updating my motherboard BIOS
Cleaning the registry using CCleaner
Running Windows Update
among other things I can't remember
I also called EVGA tech support, and they told me to change the power setting in the NVIDIA Control Panel to "Maximum performance" from "optimal"; also to up the mv going to the card by 20. No change

I'm completely lost, and can't figure out any reason why this is happening. I doubt it's a bad card, because this has only started recently, after using it extensively before this. It also happens at the same rate while doing something demanding as just sitting on my desktop not doing anything.

If you can offer any assistance at all, it would be greatly appreciated
