So i'm building a computer and ive found a nice 144hz monitor to use, but my mini itx mobo has a DVI-I slot, so obviously I can't utilize the 144hz. Is there some kind of adapter I can use to convert the DVI-I into dual link DVI-D? Ive been looking around the internet but I can't find anything!

Solution
A DVI-D connector sends out a digital signal
A DVI-I connector sends out both a digital and an an analog signal
A DVI-D cable is fully compatible with a DVI-I connector – it will only read the digital output and simply ignore the analog

If the video card supports 144Hz, then a DVI-D cable connected to a DVI-I port will work.

+1 Just have to make sure the DVI-I port that is on your motherboard is dual link as well.
