Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 970
CPU: Intel Xeon Processor E3-1231V3B 3.4
MotherBoard: Gigabyte H81M-HD3
8GB of RAM
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-inch SATA III Internal SSD (w/ Windows 10)

Does the motherboard and CPU fit together? Do I need to update my BIOS chips for this CPU? Can I play new up and coming games and more recent games w/ 60fps (BF1, R6S, Overwatch)?

Solution
are you building, cause the GTX 1070 is out. titan X for 380 bucks, or get a RX 480. GTX 970 +0.5GB VRAM. for 200 bucks

the Xeon in fact is a great CPU. don't leave that impression on xeons. I love them

and as wolfshadow says, the CPU support list doesn't indicate the B, but the normal e3 1231V3 works well.
but any reason to choose

and 8Gb is enough, but I mean 16GB wont hurt

Any reason to go with a Xeon? But no it does not work together. Go for i5 6400.

I presume you mean with 1080p? Then YES, it will get 60fps

I would be suprised if a 1 year old gpu would fail to run bf1 at 60fps at atleast medium settings.

As Ryan_78 already said, go with the E3-1231V3 without the B. As it is supported.
