DIY dust filters - which material?

All of my PCs have a lot of big holes on every side, most of them unnecessarily, and I want to cover them in some kind of material to catch the dust. A LOT of dust has collected over just a few months, and it's nearly impossible to get it all out.

I wanted to use nylon, as it's quite fine but also quite transparent. However, I can't get any 100% nylon fabric here. The alternative would be something like black bed sheets, but they might be too dense, restricting airflow too much. What should I get?

Solution
I like double sided tape and nylon panty hose material stretch the nylon and adhere to the tape. can be added to the frame of the fan on whichever side you have available. frame the holes with the DS tape and then stretch and press they nylons to the tape.

if you do not have any DS tape around, hot glue is an easy alternative
if nylon is unavailable, cheesecloth springs to mind

I actually use 3M air conditioner air filters and cut them up to size. They are excellent filters while allowing great airflow for an air cooled PC. I only have to swap out filters once every six months or so, and there is very little dust in there (high airflow Antec Nine Hundred case with an NH-D14 cooler and SLI GPUs, so it moves a LOT of air).
