This has been getting on my nerves, I have a 2000$ PC and I get around 150 FPS in-game (for Minecraft) The main reason why this gets on my nerves is because I try to make smooth videos by using Fraps 120 FPS or Action! 120 FPS but then I drop down to 100 FPS and when you get 100 FPS while using 120 FPS in a recording software, it looks really bad. I am using 1.7.10 for Minecraft, I have the newest version of OptiFine for 1.7.10, VSync is off, and my FPS is set to unlimited. I have been researching this and every solution is for laptops, I have a desktop. Or disabling your integrated card, don't have an integrated. Adding javaw.exe and minecraft launcher to Nvidia 3d settings and setting them to use my dedicated card. I tried updating my drivers, I tried updating Java, I updated my BIOS, and still no fix.

MY SPECs: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/RaptorNvidya/saved/#view=hyjtt6
If you don't want to look at that then here (main parts):
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Intel i7 6700k 4GHz 4/8 (Four cores, eight threads)
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW GAMING ACX 2.0
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

If it would be easier to actually talk to me: https://discord.gg/KrxVD (My Discord is always open)
KEEP IN MIND I DO NOT HAVE AN INTEGRATED SO I CAN'T DISABLE IT AND I AM RUNNING MINECRAFT ON 1.7.10.

Solution
I fixed it by simply installing a older version of the minecraft launcher (before they had built in java one) and set the compability mode to windows 7 and run as administrator :)

The 6700k does have integrated graphics on it, it has the HD 530 in it. Have you tried disabling the iGPU through BIOS? And do you have the DVI/VGA/HDMI plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard?

I am using Display Port (which has 144 hz), and yes it is plugged into the graphics card. I am pretty sure my CPU doesn't have an integrated because even before I disabled iGPU in BIOS it didn't show up in my Display Adapters in Device Manager.

Yes but I know there is a way to make minecraft use more of your computer because I see people with the same specs as me getting 1k+ FPS in minecraft

It didn't show up in Display Adapters because it's currently not in use, your GPU is. When you press (I think it) F3, does it show you're using the 970?

It doesn't show anything, and before I disabled iGPU in BIOS it didn't even show the Intel HD that you said I have, though I am 99.9% sure I don't have an integrated card.

Trust me, you have an iGPU, I have the same exact CPU. It didn't show anything? It should show anything, even N/A would show up.

No, nothing shows up. Here is a screenshot of my F3: https://gyazo.com/07199f8ac0cb24388d664db6bc69c033\
By the way, for some reason my fps goes up a TON when I'm not actually in it, when I click back into minecraft it just drops back down to 190 ish, and this is on mini-screen so it's only 480p (because you can't use gyazo in fullscreen) Speaking of which, I only get 100 fps when I play fullscreen at 1080p so I set my fullscreen to 720p..

I don't have Discord for PC (due to the fact that my headset is gone), but I have joined on my mobile phone.
