Hello! Here are my specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8320
GPU: R9 290 (powercolor)
MOBO: Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
PSU: EVGA 750w gold
RAM: 1x 8gb stick

So my pc crashes almost immediately (<2 mins) when I try to play any game, but is just fine when I run benchmarks like Valley Benchmark and FurMark.

I did a fresh wipe and install of my GPU drivers to no avail. I checked my temps and they are fine. My PSU is highly rated and 750w is overkill so I don't think that's it. I even ran memtest86 with 0 errors after an hour.

I don't see any other reason except that I just have a bum GPU... but before I bite the bullet and buy a new one, I thought I would try to get some answers first.

Is there anything else I need to be testing? All of my parts are at factory clocks.

EDIT: I just got the computer to freeze up the same way it does in games by running prime95 (blended) after about 15 minutes. What could this mean?

Solution
Looking up your board it only has 4 power phases and I'm sure the GPU's heat is not helping. I am afraid I'd have to recommend getting a higher quality motherboard.
