When I say modern I meant in the last like 5 years I am actually starting to get bored with video games bc I don't know what to play I haven't play witcher or dark souls or the call of dutys past bo2 bc I don't get all the hype I have play skyrim and got bored of it (I know forgive me) GTA 5 is boring to me now and I haven't played any fallouts so what should I do? I really love video games but I am starting to be bored by them I will play almost anything all rounder I guess but I just finished the story to Arkham city that wasn't as good as Asylum to me so unless Orgins is great I think I am gonna lay off on batman. Please all suggestions are welcome thanks!

First question: is this PC or console. If PC then get steam and buy insurgency and/or squad, very realistic modern combat games. Steam is going on summer sale so u can probably pick these games up half price

My top right now is still Battlefield 4, but if you haven't already tried civ 5 or xcom those might be fun if you're into that style of game (I am).
As far as recent AAA PC games, I'd highly recommend Dark Souls 3 - I'm a fan of the series and it's also my favorite game of 2016 so far. My favorite game that I played last year was Alien: Isolation. I've been playing the new Doom and Rainbow Six: Siege lately, both good. If you want something more story driven, definitely pick up Metal Gear Solid 5, it's pretty incredible single player and online. As far as indie, I've really enjoyed Warhammer End Times Vermintide - especially if you're a fan of Left 4 Dead. For something that is challenging and you can play for 5-10 minutes at a stretch, Devil Daggers is really cool, as well as Heavy Bullets.
