Hi! With the help of my friend, I was able to build my own PC last summer, and it's been working great until a few months ago. For some reason, the computer says that it does not detect my graphics card, and it has used the motherboard's on board graphics ever since. I've tried uninstalling the GPU and driver from the Device Manager and downloaded the newest driver from AMD. The PC still decides to use the on board graphics and audio output. This is very frustrating for me. I am fairly new to the world of custom PC and PC problems, so you're going to have to talk in very simple terms for me to understand. Please ask if you need more info from me. Thank you!

Solution
What is the brand and model of the power supply?

Have you tried reseating the video card? Try a different PCIe slot? Try a BIOS reset? Testing the card in another system that you know can run it is a good idea, will tell you pretty quick if the card is good or not.
