Hi All, last year i purchased a new build rig and built it myself,.. When it came to cooling, the case i purchased came with two fans and i also ordered 2 extra fans - not sure why but i did lol! anyway,I have 1 spare fan (that came with the case) mounted in the front but its not connected to anything, I've looked all over the MOBO but the only spare fan power point CHA_FAN_1 for example has 4 pins on it and my fan only has a 3 pin connector... is there an adaptor or do i need to buy a different fan? help appreciated for the n00b lol!

If you have 3-pins fan and your motherboard does have 4-pin fan connector, then you don't have to buy any kind of adaptor. Simply placing it and your motherboard will detect the fan (and also fan speed if supported).
