Headset nylon cable

Hello people, today im facing a bit of a problem, my headset cable somewhat got out of its wrapping (that nylon sleeve) http://imgur.com/UamyZZL
How can i make it back to original shape? I've already tried using steam to make it more flexible but no succes

to prevent any more cable damage i'd just cut the sleeving off in that area. you can always patch it with some shrink tube or tape.

the only way to fix the issue without cutting the sleeving is to slowly work the cable back into the sleeve by holding the cable and pulling on the sleeving though since you need to put strain on the interior wire you have a chance of damaging it. given how tight sleeving is put on generally its not going to be easy.

honestly i'd suggest just patching but its your call.
