4x2 gb ram + 8x2 gb double dual channel

My mobo is asus m5a78lm/usb3
I had currently installed 4x2 gb ram 1333mhz at cl9 , running in dual channel, is installing 8x2 gb ram in the other dual channel remaining help video editing and rendering performance.i,e total of 24 gb ram , should the 8x2 gb ram on the other two slots be 1333mhz at cl9

Yes, the added memory should help with those tasks as long as you do things that demand that much memory. As for the memory type, try to go with the most similar memory you can. Meaning same brand ,cl, individual timings and of course freq. Even if you have to remove the 2x4 it would be a substantial upgrade from 4 to 16 and should cover most of the tasks at hand.
