Hi,
after changing my MSI GTX 970 for a MSI GTX1080 Gaming X 8G my PC won't boot.
I just get a beeping error code from the bios.
I have an Asus P8H67 motherboard with an Intel Core I7-2600k.
MSI suppport thinks the motherboard is the problem. Asus support says the error code means the graphic card can't be recognized. If the GTX 1080 is broken or if the motherboard needs an bios update is not clear. But there will be no bios update because H67 chipset is not supported anymore.
So is there anyone out there who has an GTX 1080 and uses it with an core i7 2600k in the same machine? Which motherboard are you using? I don't want to spend a lot of money for a new cpu while the old one is mostly idle in the games i play.
