how can i upgrade linux mint to windows 7?

Solution

No way to upgrade it, you need to install Windows 7 after buying a license for it.

You cannot upgrade to windows 7, let me start of by saying in my opinion going from any linux to windows would be a downgrade lol, but all joking aside, the only trickery you might be able to use is if the computer had preinstalled windows 8 or higher before linux was placed on it.
That being said, this would be the only free way to do it sense microsoft changed windows 8 + they started embedding the OS into the bios and are not doing hard copies of product keys like earlier versions.

But if this isn't the case and it was always linux (not as likely) or it had windows 7 before linux, and you dont have a product key.
Then yes your only way is to buy a windows OS disc.

If it had windows 8 prior let me know and I can give you some linux commands that will give you the MSDM file contents trapped in your bios, if not buy the cheapest windows OS license and upgrade to 10 for free.

Best of luck to you, if you need those linux commads let me know, if it had windows 7 or lower prior to linux then the commands will be useless, and you will have to buy a disc sorry.
