Problem Opening Second HDD

Hello I received a old Used 1T HDD from a friend I put it in the computer and formatted it.
However now when i try to just double click it, it pops up saying "F:/ Application not found"
If i right click it and click open it works just fine. What i think is causing the error is when i right click it it shows "Run U3 Launch Pad." I Have no idea what that is, Or how to remove it.

EDIT: The Drives not unusable its just really annoying.

Does this happen when you try to open your other drives?

My suggestion would be to write zeros on the drive. This would fill in 0 value in each sectors. Some third party tools can do that.
This is a data destructive process so you need to back up the data stored on it first.
