Hello! So recently I've purchased an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB (Gigabyte) and put it in my current PC, So I want to know what I should do with my CPU, My specs are below. Should I upgrade it, if so what should i upgrade it to? I've heard of CPU bottlenecking and and I'm worried that I'm not getting the best performance out of my PC. Mainly I want to play Batman: Arkham Knight I've already tried the game and I get 10-19 fps, I've tried overclocking my GPU but only with an fps boost of about 5-8 fps. So I'm pretty much thinking that my GPU is being bottlenecked by my CPU, so I want to know what CPU would be good judging from my specs, or if I need a new mobo and a new CPU.

Specs:
CPU - AMD Athlon II X4 635
Motherboard - FOXCONN 2A92
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB (Gigabyte)

If there's anything else you need to know about my pc just let me know.

Thanks for your time :)

Edit: I don't want it to cost too much just around under $200

I agree with Logain, your CPU is bottlenecking your performance. If it is a prebuilt/oem system like a Dell or HP computer, then youll be better off buying a new system or building your own. You can use that GPU in the new machine.
Here is a new machine that I put together on PCPart Picker. You can reuse your GPU on it.

It is an AMD Build and has pretty decent performance. I built my friend almost the same system, he has different storage, case, is air cooled and has a GTX 980 instead. And it has treated him well

Yes it was an HP system, but I don't want to spend around $800 for a PC and I also don't want to upgrade to Windows 10 because my friend in IT told me that windows is going to start making people pay for Windows 10.
Could I just replace the cpu and motherboard? I think my power supply is good its a Corsair 750 Watt one.

Yes you can replace your motherboard and CPU, but you will need a new version of Windows as well. You cannot swap out motherboard and cpu in a prebuilt system or else windows will crash or just flat out not boot because it tells which computer it is installed on by the motherboard.
So to switch cpu and mobo youll have to clean install a new Windows System Builder version

Yea you will have to pay for windows 10, as in buy a copy. The free upgrades, for Win 7/8.1 users, are going away, in about a month. You are getting it confused with Office 365, which is subscription based. Replacing the CPU and motherboard, will probably require a new case, as HP likes to make things proprietary.

Okay, so i guess i'm going to just replace the cpu and motherboard, my case i think is big enough, earlier this month i moved it to a new, bigger case. So what cpu and motherboard combo do you recommend for a budget?

This looks nice but is there something a little less pricier?

You could switch it up, with an i3, or shave a bit off going to the H97m anniversary. Problem with FX, other than being 4yrs old, and power hungry, is its inconsistent performance, due to poor single threaded performance. The title you are looking to play, especially, an i3 would beat it. I would still recommend sticking with an i5. You will get the best/most consistent performance, with that.

That could possibly work, also. Problem is Intel recommends a lower voltage DDR3, than what you probably have. What is the voltage, and speed, of your current memory? It should be on a label, on your ram, somewhere. CPU-Z can also tell you what your ram speed and voltage is.
