Hey guys! I've exhausted my networking knowledge trying to solve this, maybe someone more savvy can help me out! I'll try to be as descriptive as possible.

I have my ISP modem connected to my own Asus RT-N13U rev B1 router with the latest stock firmware.

I have a PPoE connection and whenever i powercycle it, i have to manually "Acquire" an IP with the built-in tool. No problem's here, although it is annoying.

Every now and then, the connection drops. The router becomes unnacessible. If i try to reach the router, it times out. If i disconnect from the router's connection, it is impossible to connect again. Only a power-cycle will make it accessible. From my secular perspective i figure that the modem is flooding the router with IP change or renewal requests, breaking the whole thing down since it doesn't acquire without manual input in the first place. The whole thing happens seemingly at random, working for 3 days or more continously and then breaking down many times a day.

Would anyone have an idea of how i would be able to fix this problem? I will forward a few images of how the router configuration is set up, if it helps.

Any input is appreciated. I'm ready to answer any questions that may arise as well. thanks!

could you connect system directly to isp modem and see if it drop also i would recheck the network settings to router for the time lease if it is 24 hour then chek in the router wireless settings if the mac address of the wireless device that connect to it is on a permit list .

Hey scout, thanks for stopping by. I cannot tell when it will happen, nor can i provoke it, but the direct connection from Modem does work at all times, even when that happens. I figure the problem is between the Modem - Router communication. All devices get locked out, computer, notebooks and smartphones.

The lease do is 24 hours by default but there aren't any MAC filters or firewalls enabled, that's for sure.
