Hello everyone , I have a problem with my memory . I have an i5 3470 and a ASRock Extreme 3 Gen 3 with 8 Gb of ram 1600Mhz form Kingston . When I look CPU-Z tell me that is 798 MHZ speed.....It's one stick , isn't dual channel . The ram gives me more crashes and freezes and it's so annoying..... . I don't know what is the problem with this, please help me, I don't know what I'm doing ! I need a support from you , guys :)

Solution
800mhz is actually correct thats what DDR means, double data rate, so 800mhz in CPUZ = 1600 mhz.

Now as for the crashes and freezes how do you know its the memory? Have you tested it using memtest86?

Processor : Intel Core i5 3470 3.2 (now is OC to 3.8 Ghz and even when is on 3.2 keeps freezing )
• Motherboard : MSI Z68A-G43 (G3)
• Video card : Asus Radeon R7 260X 2GB GDDR5 DirectCu II 128bit
• Memory : Kingston Valueram (1 stick of 8gb which in CPU-Z I see that is on 799 mhz , wth ?)
• Housing : RAIDMAX Super Aeolus
• PSU : Sirtec - High Power Element BRONZE II 600W
•CPU Cooler : Scythe Ninja 3 Rev. B (without fan)
•Hard drive : WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM
•SSD : Kingston Hyperx Fury 120GB
I use 5 fans in case for better cooling from NZXT : https://www.nzxt.com/products/fn-v2
That's all I have in .

Ok a few things, first off your ram is fine. Like I said DDR.

Secondly theres a couple things that stick out at me first, leave the overclock off until the issue is resolved.

Secondly that CPU cooler with no fan, is supposed to have a fan, I don't care how many case fans you have, running a cooler on an overclocked CPU passively is a very bad idea. Its possible your CPU is overheating have you monitored temps?

Third that PSU is junk. Maybe not the problem but it could be.

Temperatures on CPU is very well Like 29-34 C on idle and 40 C on full load.. You said the psu is junk I changed them 3 times before it and it was exactly the same thing , freez . It's not psu . Idk what it is but it's a pain in a butthole... . Like you said pobably it is the cooler from cpu but it isn't overheating or I think it's hdd because I run a test and give me 4 bads or it is my videocard .idk

So which give you errors the SSD or the hard drive? And if its the hard drive does the computer fail only when using programs on it?

How about I would like to see some telemetry from MSI afterburner when it fails if its failing in a game. As well how about going into windows event viewer and finding the critical event when it fails.

Otherwise we are running in circles here.
