Need Assistance: Sound setup

I'm looking to upgrade my computer's sound system (for gaming) to a 7.1 surround sys. Currently in a 13' x 12' room, the computer is in the back left corner of the room. What would be a good (decent) sound system to get, and how would I position the speakers? (I can probably draw up a room diagram, if need be)

what i would do is use a good sound card that has digital audio out then connect it to a av receiver and use some wifi or bluetooth speakers. wif bluetooth powered speakers you have no wires and can use bluetooth headphone.

where would you place the speakers, and what speaker setup would you use. I'm not sure how you position speakers to get the full effect, especially in a bedroom like this.
