Hello, I am completely new to the intricate design of computer building and I came here today in hopes that you lovely people would be able to lend some insight on the components needed for my start in video creation. Notably, you do not need to worry about the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and OS as I can acquire those on my own.

Some Things of Note:

  • I plan to utilize the new GTX 1080 with future SLI

    I plan to do a lot of 1440p and/or 4k video editing

I plan to max games like the Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, and GTA 5 at 1440p and/or 4k

I need at least 2TB to 3TB of storage space with a secondary SSD

I need a case with enough space for future added components

I am based in Washington State if that helps

I prefer to buy from Amazon and Newegg

Solution
Maybe something like this. The larger SSD is your C-drive. The smaller SSD is a dedicated video editing drive.
