Recently I decided to buy 4 140MM Nocuta Industrial PPC-3000, 1 120MM Noctua Industrial PPC-2000, and 2 80mm Noctuas (I just decided to splurge, you only live once).
I'm running an AMD 8350, 650 powersupply, R9 390, and all the fans.
I noticed that for some reason CHA_FAN1 or CHA_FAN2 would sometimes not run. I couldn't find a pattern as to why it would do this. I was thinking maybe a fan was busted. I then plugged in one of the fans to an OPT_FAN socket and it ran like normal. Can anyone explain why it would be doing this? In all, it doesn't seem to be a power issue now that all the fans are running, but why is it so picky on running both CHA_FAN1 and CHA_FAN2 at the same time?
I made sure PWM is selected in BIOS and Standard was selected. Is there some voltage limit for those two specific ports?
