Games running slow?

Before we start... these are my specs.

Laptop:
GTX 770m
intel i7-4700 2.4 ghz
12 gb ram

I noticed that my games now refuse to run at what they used to. Literally, I can't play League of Legends on my normal High settings without it stuttering. Other games, like Paragon, I have to run at the lowest possible settings with a terribly and unplayable low render resolution.

Here is what i have done so far:
Cleaned inside with air
ran defrag
scanned with malware bytes
cleaned with cc cleaner
updated drivers to newest ones
reset power profiles to default

Anyone have any clue as to why this is happening? Could it be that my card is dying?

Rest of specs please, laptop model #?

It's possible that you got a lot of dust surrounding the CPU area, which blocks the air flow.

Monitor CPU temperatures, download HWMonitor and see how fast the CPU temp is rising. If it's a quick jump from say 50-60 to 90 when starting your game, the stutter you're experiencing is caused by the CPU entering the "throttle mode". Basically slows down to make sure the temp doesn't keep rising. If it does, then it shut down itself to prevent damage. Have you experienced any shut downs?

No shutdowns as of yet, also I just cleaned from dust a few days back. As for the specs, I don't necessarily know them (like the motherboard and such) however the model is a G750. I should note that when I updated the drivers, it was okay for a while (games ran normally) but then it returned to crap almost immediately (I heard the previous driver was causing problems for many people).

So I downloaded the HWMonitor and put the laptop under load. I started up a rather performance heavy game and saw that CPU temps went from 50 and jumped to at least 86. Any idea why?

What's the power options state set to in the control panel?

Close all programs, then enable "Max Performance", you may have to click on the small arrow below balanced if it's hidden.

Monitor your CPU temps closely, and see if your CPU fan kicks on at the right time, should be around 70 C. If you don't feel a lot of hor air coming from the vent or hear the fan, then dust may be blocking it, or the fan isn't functioning properly.

Let us know the results, and don't hurt yourself, it's just hot air though.

Already was set to high performance. Went back into game and the fans did kick on. Checked the temps and they jumped to 90 and stayed around 85. Not only that but the fans are blowing hot air out, so dust is out of equation- however just for the sake of things I opened the laptop and cleaned it out from dust. Ran everything again but nothing changed.

Didn't know that laptops used thermal paste on their cpu's. I'll try and driver re install even though Nvidia just released this new one after the massively faulty one they had before (perhaps this one sucks too). Hopefully it'll work, cause i'd like to get back to playing my more massive games I have xD
