F:\ is not accessible. Access is denied.

Hi
i am having trouble opening the local hard disk drive "F". It is not showing the information like space etc . when i open the local disk F its keep saying "F:\ is not accessible. Access is denied.
I searched a lot for solution on the internet but according to the solutions opening the security tab is essential,but when i open the properties of the drive there is not the security tab . kindly please help me as i do not want to loose my Important data.

That is all right but i am using a laptop.so it will be difficult for me to connect to another PC.and all other hard drives are working and opening well. the "F" was locked by bitlocker. and its not opening not even showing the lock and the space info.
so what can i do see if you can find me another way to take owner ship. thnx

Sounds like whatever the drive is, it has died. I've seen this happen to flash drives more times than I can count.
Would you be able to tell us what the filesystem of the drive is?

Find out by:

Open Run with Windows+R hotkeys, type compmgmt.msc and tap OK.
Click Storage -> Disk management.
Here it should tell you in the sections at the bottom, the drive letter, size of drive, and the file system.
If you could tell us that information that would be great.

for instance, my flash drive is:

(I: )
59.10 GB NTFS
Healthy (Primary Partition)

Well Guys Thanks for helping me .After all your answers .I kept thinking than and then i recognize that my problem is a little bit different from the Forums on the internet .It took me 3 hours to search for answers but still nothing. Then an idea just came in my mind . I tried to take owner ship through Command promt (cmd) . it ask me to unlock the drive using bitlocker from the control panel . i open the control panel>security But ....
there was no option of bitlocker. then i searched the bitlocker into the search bar . it appears as " manage bitlocker " i opened but it showed me an error . then i download bitlocker from the web and open it but same error. then i came to know it should be a windows error. and bitlocker is disappeared from the windows . then i upgraded my Laptop to windows 10 and the problem solved .
SOOooo.. .... I just want to tell you if u got the same problem and cannot solve the problem like security tab was not showing in the properties of the drive . the I recommend to reinstall windows or upgrade or repair may help but don't know
still upgrading or reinstalling will 100% solve your issue. upgrading was good because your data remains where it was.
