The i5-2500 (Sandy Bridge processor) is what controls the PCIE. It uses PCIE 2.0. Most all newer video cards can use PCIE 3.0.

The newer video cards are backwards compatible with older versions of the PCIE. This means that all newer video cards will work even with a PCIE 1, 2, or 3. What it does mean is that you won't have the full compatibility and speed of PCIE...

Are U Sure ? Because In My Mother Board Paper Of Information Said Only Pci Express 3 Activate When An Ivy Bridge Processor Installed . ( Not Sandy Bridge )
And Im Sure U Know Gtx Series Require Pci Express 3

Is this bad? Not really. In most cases you never even max out the PCIE 2.0 bandwidth. You likely will never even know the difference.

Wow ! Thanks ! So U Mean I Cant Feel Any Big Difference Even Playing Open World Games? Like Assassins Or Dark Souls III ?

The PCIE bandwidth won't be your biggest problem. Your processor will be your greatest bottleneck in most modern games. However, you will see a big difference if you upgrade your current video card from that gt 630 (Budget card) to a decent card like a GTX 760 or GTX 960, as those are performance cards.

U Still Didnt Told Me . I Can Feel It Or No ?

No, you won't feel it.

the 750 ti should be a nonissue but for 900 and up ............

your board needs full uefi bios legacy will not work then as said you may need a latest bios to support the newest cards some like z68 guys did not get this at all and you may can look at 900 series cards and these issues [ also notice how many were using a sandy chip?? ] [your board specs ''2.Use of licensed AMI EFI BIOS '' not uefi theres a slight difference

you maybe lucky then you may not could be down to you buy - you try - and hope it don't make you cry ??

now look at your boards bios list and see the latest beta from 2014 has ''2.Improve High-End Display card compatibility ''

rev 2.0
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4074#bios

with that you maybe OK.....??? revision 3.0 and 3.1 still just shows first release but may be covered seeing its also from 2014 but no real details

googling it around I have not found any one with a 900 card and compatibility issue on your board so......?? cant say on the newer 10 series seeing it too early on them yet
