Psu pins can't plug to gpu and fans stopped working.

Hi guys, my PSU has 2 of 4 pins and my gpu (evga gtx 960 2gb) has 8 pins.

. When I try to plug my 2 of 4 pins from PSU to the adapter (link above) only 1 of my 4 pins can connect to adapter and the other can't. When I turn on the case, after approximately 10~15 secs the gpu fans stopped working. Is it maybe there's is not enough power to the gpu?

Edit: my PSU has 2 of 6 pins, not 2 of 4. After 10~15 secs the gpu fans stopped spinning.

You need to plug an 8 pin connector with the proper energy output the card needs to be fed, that's why they stop spinning.

did you ever try (even once) to use it with a 4 pin plugged into the 8 pin convertor you've pictured?

Fans usually stop working if the GPU is not under load. Thay should turn on automatically when you start using it. Just to be clear, the GPU works, only that the fans do not?

Only on some brands of modern GPUs. Mostly 900 series.
