Today, I replaced my failing Corsair CX750M PSU with an EVGA 850 G2. After swapping out all the cables and booting up, the BIOS boot menu showed external USB drives and my CD/DVD drive (SATA) as bootable devices, but NOT my Hitachi SSD.

I reseated and replaced the SATA data and power cables and tried different SATA ports on my mobo. The result remains the same. I can feel the HDD spinning up, and it was functionally perfectly on my last boot with the previous PSU.

I also reset BIOS settings and switched between AHCI and IDE then back.
I made sure all SATA ports were enabled.

It seemingly suggests hardware failure, but seems odd considering it was functioning normally on my last boot before the PSU switch.

Could the new PSU have fried it?
