rx 480 4gb or 8gb?

hello. i was curious about which i should get. im a 1080p gamer and play games like rust, csgo, dying light, witcher 3, etc. im not sure whether or not to get the 8 gb version. and while im here what manufacturer is the best? i am only looking to spend the 229$.

Yes. With 4gb the games will run totally excellent. This myth of higher memory only really holds true at 4k. My 1440p monitor sometimes hits around 4gb (of 6) and the limitation isn't the Memory.

Youre right 4GB is enough for 1080p gaming but it take start to struggle at 1440p especially 4K. Who knows maybe games will start to use more VRAM in the future.

You should get the 8GB version for a little more because 8GB is more future proof than 4GB, i mean 30$ is worth for double the vram IMO. Sapphire makes excellent AMD cards and XFX isnt bad too.
