The i7 6700k is one of the fastest CPU's on the planet, you will have no problems with bottlenecking.

From a gaming perspective, there really isn't, as most of the better CPU's wouldn't get fully utilized, as current games wouldn't take advantage of the extra threads. 
Truth be told, for just gaming, even an i5 6600k is all that is needed. Those 4 extra threads are nice to have, to handle other tasks, while you game, or for those few games that can make use of them.
