Hello.

I am wondering if my computer needs dusting of fan and/or replacing thermal pasting.

My computer specs are:
ASUS K53E Series
CPU: Intel Core i5-2410M, 2.3GHz
ODD: DVD Sup.MTI.
Memory: 4GB
HDD: 540GB
OS: WIN7 Premium

I have not touched the insides of my computer, including cleaning it since I brought it. My computer is old (used on and off for more than 4 years, I think).

In SpeedFan software, the temperature values give:
CPU Fan: 2796 RPM
CPU Usage: 25.0%
HD0: 34C (down arrow next to it) (Occasionally drops to 0C for some reason)
Temp1: 53C (fire icon next to it)
Core0: 55C (fire icon next to it)
Core1: 50C (fire icon next to it)

when idle. I also used HWMonitor and it gives the same results.

My surrounding temperature is about 27.3 degrees.

If I need thermal pasting, is there a specific type you suggest?

I would appreciate any help, please. Thank you very much.

(I also have a question of overheating on my macbook air 2014, can I post it in this same thread?)

Solution
It should only need dusting, it's a laptop, dust can buildup easier than normal desktops, and that should be just about it.
