Hey, I just installed an MSI Geforce 980 TI OC edition, and I lost sound from my normal speakers. On board audio is enabled in the BIOS and my default playback device is set to my speakers(Realtek High Definition Audio). I tried disabling HDMI audio in Device manager, to no avail. I'm not sure what to do next.

Ok, I don't know what that means. It would be helpful if you could outline in a step by step format what to do. What I did just now was install drivers directly from the disk(before what I did was grabbed them online) and then I used Device Manager to update the drivers and still no audio. What I do get is a whine with a changing pitch that occurs whenever I do something on the PC that should produce sound. The speakers give off a whine and then cut out after a while.
