asus maximus viii hero mobo does not post, no video, nothing

i bought patriot viper memory ddr4 32gb 2x16 pc4-22400 cl 16 but i get no post no video nothing but the red lights in my asus maximus viii hero mobo ----- help.

Already returned one of these boards to frys. it had bent pins around the processor........wonder if its me putting the cpu in funky that is causing this to happen? [censored] this used to be easy back in the socket days.....not so easy now it would appear.....even though it should be.

You should follow through the No POST troubleshooting guide which is essentially the same as the PC building guide albeit with a little more steps.

You may also want to remove the CMOS battery and replace it after 15 minutes. You speak of bent CPU pins, if that is the case then that is the culprit and if anything you're probably not doing it right thus the inclusion of the PC building tutorial below.
