What to do about (sort of) broken Audio Input on Desktop?

My audio input has become partially functional over the past few days. It's not too bad, but a lot of the time, I'll hear audio out of one ear and not the other, or I'll hear really low quality audio. I looked at the input, and it appears to be decently loose. I also noticed what resemble audio inputs on the back of my computer on my motherboard. They're beneath 'Intel Lan.' Could I use any of these audio inputs instead of the one at the top of my case? I have an Asus Z97-A motherboard and a NZXT Phantom 530 case.

Yes you can certainly use the back audio ports. I am using them on my system with headphones.

You'll want to plug your headphones into the GREEN line out port.

The audio port on top of my case doesn't have the best quality so i use the one on the back from my motherboard. You will probably get better sound quality from using the one on the back of your case.
