I recently got a new graphics card (gtx 460) and installed onto my pc ( hp envy 700-230 qe) but when I started it up nothing new came out or on the settings. I tried downloading the drivers off of the official site but that also would not pick up anything! I am pretty sure I installed it right and I can here the fan spinning but will not work. Can someone please help?

If it actually a "new" card or a used one? If used, did you test it to make sure it worked before you got it?

Did you upgrade the power supply before you installed the card? nVidia lists that card as needing a 450 watt power supply, which in real life means about 400 to run it well, on a good quality power supply. It also needs dual 6 pin power connectors which your 300 watt OEM power supply won't have. Did you read the setup instructions before installing the card?

Minimum System Power Requirement 450 watt
Two 6-pin & 6-pin power connections
