my webpage gets this error now -->

This site can’t be reached

mypersonalhomepage.usa.cc’s server DNS address could not be found.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

-----------------------------

one issue i know 100% that it is. is that my ssid and password needs changed manually. i tried doing this but since the cridentials wouldnt save when i changed them i came here to ask for help.

when i was on "broadband cable with time warner" and not "bridged" also it was really easy to redo.

now i have a bridge connection. so my router isnt even doing anything from what i seen in at&t's setup page. they say i needed to go to "1?2.???.???.??? (private ip please because i said). i see this stuff...........

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8-7mmAiliwjRS1CcERMYTJnZ0k

and also i 4got to mention that my settings (in the video on another page of that) shows "down down down" on the wires going to my router. what did i miss? did a virus wipe it out?

When a modem/router is placed in bridge mode (modem only), the public IP address is assigned to a single device on your network. This is usually done to bypass the router functions of the ISP device, and allows you to provide your own (normally better performing) router.

You will not be able to use wifi, and can't have more than one device connected via Ethernet when in bridge mode.

You'll need to either restore the router functions, or purchase another router.

edit: spelling

You may need to elaborate about how your device is bridged. Did you configure bridge mode in the device settings? The slide show in your original post showed mostly WLAN settings.

Okay, that's a bit more clear now. It looks like you have your own router attached to port 4 on the ATT router, and you are trying to access the configuration settings on your router.

It appears you have a Linksys router. It also appears to be getting an IP address of 192.168.1.69 from the ATT router.

The Linksys may not be properly connected to the ATT router, but you may want to try using 192.168.1.69 to access it, or the default address of 192.168.1.1.

If that doesn't work, you may need to temporarily disconnect it from the ATT router, then try accessing the Linksys from those IP addresses (making sure the device you are using to access the configuration page is connected directly to the Linksys).

okay. whats it all mean and what do i do to get the linksys working 100% again? also the linksys cd doesnt work anymore because of this bridge connection being here. also the cd says "we wouldnt find your setup..." blah blah blah....

basically the disc linksys made isnt gonna know i have a bridge now. so with the cd being not needed anymore now i cant reset the ssid and pw through its to whateber i feel like. also the cd says "we will try to repair the issue" when i was using this bridge.

also id like to know (for free) if a hacker could have burned out my linksys router?

It's not likely that a hacker burned out your router. It's more likely that this is a configuration problem.

It might be best to reset your Linksys to factory default settings. There should be a small button on the back that you'll need to press for 10 seconds. Then, with the Linksys connected to your PC only, access the configuration settings at 192.168.1.1 (or use the CD to change the settings if you wish). Adjust the wifi settings as needed.

Then use the directions at the following page to configure it to work with the ATT modem/router.
