Must I manually change the video display settings in BIOS to disable the integrated graphics and enable the PCIe slot before installing a discrete graphics card? Specifically, I plan to install the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 710 1GB DDR3 low-profile graphics card into a DELL OPTIPLEX 780 E7500 6GB(currently) INTEL Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz Mini-Tower, service tag GL9QN1. My intentions were to double the original 4GB ram (I'm still waiting for the final 2GB stick to arrive by mail...) and "enhance" the integrated graphics with an inexpensive video card upgrade, such as the one I selected.CPU-Z indicates the following MOBO info : Manufacturer = DELL Inc. Model = 0C27VV ( A01) Chipset =Intel Q45/Q43 [Rev.03] Southbridge = Intel 82801JB (ICH10)[Rev.02] Yesterday, I updated the system's original year 2010 BIOS to Dell's BIOS version A15 (dated 08/06/2013), as this was the only upgrade I saw listed. Thank you, in advance, for your much needed insight and assistance into this process, particularly for a neophyte such as myself, having never installed a graphics card previously. I can provide additional details if need be...

Solution
The short answer is YES.
I would need to know your MB and Bios to be sure however, with EUFI Bios you would need to choose PCIe as primary display or set to AUTO.
