Hello,

Recently as I was on my desktop, I noticed my CPU fan stopped blowing. In panic, I shut the computer off as fast I can to avoid frying my CPU. I got another CPU fan, hooked it up with new thermal paste. Computer turns on now, all fans work including CPU fan but now I get no display. Fans are spinning on CPU, GPU, and the PSU. My gaming mouse, keyboard, and headphones don't light up with their usual LED lights either.

I have tried unplugging the RAM sticks and putting them back in in different slots to make sure that wasn't it. Same with the GPU - tried the two slots I have on my motherboard. If the fans all work but the LED lights dont turn on on my mouse, keyboard, and headphones, doesn't that mean that the motherboard is dead? My motherboard does not have intergrated graphics.

Solution
It could be a PSU or a motherboard issue, but it could also be because the motherboard moved slightly when you installed the cooler and it now shorts to a mounting post. Test it outside of the case or try another PSU (an old one is fine for that test).
You may have damaged the motherboard or a connector is no longer fully inserted; double-check the CPU and the 20 (or 24) pin connectors. You probably have a very old PC because CPUs released in the last 10 years or more don't fry if the CPU fan stops spinning; they throttle or shutdown if need be.

It's not that I have an old PC. It's just an old safety precaution that I took. Regardless, I have a new CPU fan that works. The current and most recent issue is that there is no display on my two monitors. Everything is on in the tower, but the LED lights on anything hooked up to the motherboard(mouse, keyboard, headphones) don't seem to be receiving power. Is that a PSU issue or a motherboard issue?

I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see if I can get another PSU to test it out. I'll also try taking the motherboard out of the tower and give you an update.
