So I'm about to instal Windows 10 64bit on my new custom made rig, and in it I have a Samsung 850 evo 500gb SSD and a WD 1TB EZEX HDD, I want the SSD to be my boot drive and it's where I want to instal my OS and just to be safe I wish to create a partition dedicated only to it, thing is I don't know how big it should be. I know windows 10 64bit when installed uses up about 11 gigs but I don't want to place it in a partition so smal that whenever it needs to update it doesn't have enough space. So what I would like to know is what is a safe size 30 gb? I want it to be as smal as possible and still be safe to install updates, that partition will solely be dedicated to windows and nothing else, not documents, games or anything. That partition of the SSD is for windows, the rest is for game, and the HDD is for general storage and maybe older games. So is a 30gb partition enough SOLELY for windows 10 64 bit? Thanks

Solution
1. No, 30GB is nowhere near enough. More like 100GB so you don't have to mess with it later.
2. Personally, I would not partition it AT ALL.
Leave the 500GB for the OS, applications, games.
Dump all your video/music/doc to the 1TB.
