Solution

Ah this is a common problem in windows 8 and 10. Try this:

Hold down the windows and R keys at the same time. This will open a run dialog, in this type services.msc and find Superfetch and Windows Search. Right click each of these and select properties and in the drop down box called startup type click disabled. Exit the properties and right click the service again and click stop. Make sure to do this for both "Superfetch" and Windows Search.

Probably a CPU throttling problem. Check your CPU usage while running games if its at 100% when check your heat sink, make sure its on properly and not full of dust.

If this doesn't help try:

1.Check you temps are ok with a program like realtemp, they should be no more than 70c while gaming.
2.Defrag you HDD if you have one and also clean up your registry (can use glary utilities for this)
3.Check for malware, do a scan with malware bytes and an antivirus like avast or avg or whatever
