The above list is the case and fans i have bought. 2 140mm fans by corsair and 2 leds fans but these are 120mm. I'd rather use them than return them.

FAN COMPATIBILITY TABLE
140mm 120mm
Top 2 3
Front 2 3
Rear 1 1

So i was thinking of removing the stock fans, they are three stock 140mm, two in front, one in the back. And put my two 140mm in the front using above comptability table, one 120mm in the back and one at the top. What do you think? Will this be ok

Solution
Yeah make sense im saying thats a good idea but i would just swap around the 140s to the rear and top for exhaust and the 120s at the front so you have a stronger exhaust.

eg
Rear 140mm top 140mm front x2 120mm

That link just goes to the parts list home page.

If your not overclocking then you could just have the 2 140mm fans, one at the front bottom for intake and one on the top back for outtake, this should provide a satisfactory air flow over the motherboard just be sure to face the fans in the correct directions (one blowing in and one out)

I would say it should be fine still, with that after market cooler the cpu is not going to be getting too hot so you really just need a little airflow over the motherboard, particularly the RAM, however if you choose to overclock the RAM then you may need to look at some more fans.
Ultimatley if your not sure then theres no harm in going with a couple of extra fans scince they arent really that expensive and dont need that much power. But then do however create noise which some people dont care about, if your not one of those people then you can always look at getting a fan controller.

You see this is why i would like to change the fans. I like the look of the corsair ones i've bought and i will overclock sometime in the future. I'm not really bothered about the noise (quiet fans anyway) but i'd rather have it set up and ready. What do you think of my general thought of the setup of the fans though?

the two 140mm in the front. one 120mm in the back as well as on top towards the rear. As theres two intake and two out take i would have thought that this would have been ok? Or could you recommend a setup of the fans where i use the corsair ones i've mentioned over the stock please.

Ahh no worries in that case the 4 that you have bought will be good dont even you the stock fans, i never do they are normally terrible. 2 front fans and one back one top will be perfect but i would put the two bigger fans as exhaust as a strong outake can actually help with the intake sometimes.

I would if i could josh but on the rear it could only support the one 140mm or one 120mm. the front does support two 140mm and top supports either two 140mm or three 120mm. So i thought the best possible configuration would be the front two stock replaced with my own two 140mm. the back will have the one 120mm and the top will have the 120mm as well. Do you see what i mean?

if you have a look at the following link and on page 10 it shows the cases fan compatability page which im referencing to. http://www.phanteks.com/assets/manuals/PH-ES515E_Western.pdf
