I have an i5 3350p in a asrock z75 pro motherboard
3350p is not a unlocked CPU, but asrock are sying they can overclocked with out a k CPU, as Long as it has turbo boost, wich it has. I can overclocked it through asrock extreme tuning utility (axtu) And through the bios, i have overclocked it from 3.1 to 3.6.
But the thing is, i havet noticed any temperature problem, because i am using the Stock cooler, And the cpu stays at 50c under load with fan at about 1500 rpm so it dosent make that much noise, And it makes me Wonder if i really overclocked, or the computer is just saying i overclocked but in reality, i didn't? Can such thing happend?

Sorry for all the autocorect stuff, away from pc, writing on my Samsung wich autocorect to norwegian sometimes xd

Solution
You can check the clock speed with CPU-z for example to see if it is working. I had a core i5 750 OC:d, for quite a while I had the OC at about 3.2 with turbo on but later I disabled the turbo and I could get it to 3.8 stable with less heat. I'd guess turbo also increases voltages or something which makes it produce more heat.

As someone who has a 3350p that is overclocked. You can verify this by running prime95 and CPU-z at the same time.

Going from 3.3 to 3.6 did cause any increase in heat because you didn't increase the voltage so its still dissipating the same amount of heat/power/electricity/etc.

Edit: aw everyone else beat me to it :)

I have checked cpu-z before i decided to ask here, so yes it says 3.6 at cpu-z
And no i havet toucher voltige, that is actually weird, because I went from 3.1 to 3.6 stable

If it says 3.6 at cpu-z then it seems to be working like it should.
