Buying a CPU used?

It is good idea to buy a CPU that costs 600 and used 300 in USA by Amazon. I don't want to buy a CPU that when I install it will overheat or cause any problems.Also, I use a cooler master for my CPU.

Modern CPUs are pretty durable and don't die young but the problem is seller and how much you can trust him. Just like buying anything else.

Amazon won't sell something that is overheating constantly. You shouldn't worry about that. Just make sure it is running at normal clock speed and is undamaged. The worst that could happen is the CPU not being compatible. Everything else should be tested and ready to go.
